a-thousand-wordsHi, I'm Hannah.

I'm 25, English, and I love words.

Welcome to my tumblr.

an introduction

This blog is about words.
Expect to find beautiful quotes, introspective song lyrics, clever typography, picture quotes, and even the occasional cartoon that has made me nod in agreement, laugh or just think for a little while. A few carefully arranged words can say what 1,000 can't, and can connect people.

I started collect those quotes here so they wouldn't spam my original tumblr , or get lost in my likes, never to be seen again. Hopefully this way others will find and enjoy them too.

This is not a spoiler free blog. You'll find I am a fan of many things, and that filters through here.

(Please note most posts are queued. The twitter updates it's self.)

"The best moments in reading are when you come across something — a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things — that you'd thought special, particular to you. And here it is, set down by someone else, a person you've never met, maybe even someone long dead. And it's as if a hand has come out and taken yours." - Hector, The History Boys.

"When anything good happens to you in your day, give thanks. It doesn’t matter how small it is, say thank you. When you get the perfect parking space, hear your favorite song on the radio, approach a light that turns green, or find an empty seat on the bus or train, say thank you. These are all good things that you are receiving from life. "
