a-thousand-words

Hi, I'm Hannah.
I'm 25, English, and I love words.
Welcome to my tumblr.

an introduction

This blog is about words.
Expect to find beautiful quotes, introspective song lyrics, clever typography, picture quotes, and even the occasional cartoon that has made me nod in agreement, laugh or just think for a little while. A few carefully arranged words can say what 1,000 can't, and can connect people.

I started collect those quotes here so they wouldn't spam my original tumblr , or get lost in my likes, never to be seen again. Hopefully this way others will find and enjoy them too.

This is not a spoiler free blog. You'll find I am a fan of many things, and that filters through here.

(Please note most posts are queued. The twitter updates it's self.)

"The best moments in reading are when you come across something — a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things — that you'd thought special, particular to you. And here it is, set down by someone else, a person you've never met, maybe even someone long dead. And it's as if a hand has come out and taken yours." - Hector, The History Boys.

“I have a question for you, and I really hope I don't annoy you with it. Soooo, when you start with a series that (for example) consists of three books, do you read them in on go? Meaning one after another or do you read other stuff before you continue reading a book from the series? I hope you get what I mean, have a nice day. xx”
    -Anonymous

    No, this is fine!

It sort of depends on the length of the series and if they’re all published.

Mostly I prefer to read a good series in it’s entirety and give myself over to that world for however long it takes if they’re all released. If they’re not I’d prefer to wait a while in order to read the series as a whole, or read the series in the weeks leading up to the final novels release.

I explain more under the cut if you want more info on why.
